What it is

Dome Keeper is a mining-and-defense roguelike in which a lone character crash-lands on an alien planet inside a glass dome that serves as their base. Between enemy waves you fly around with a jetpack and drill underground to gather iron, cobalt, and water, then race back to the surface to defend the dome from swarms of native alien creatures using an upgradeable laser or sword weapon. The action is entirely stylized and bloodless — combat is aimed at abstract alien monsters, and there is no sexual content, nudity, strong language, substances, or gambling. It can be played solo or in cooperative multiplayer where a host invites friends into a shared run; the platform supports voice and text chat among those players.

How it's framed

The game frames its conflict as pure survival: the player defends their crashed dome against relentless alien attackers while managing the tension between digging one more tunnel and returning in time to fight. Violence is mechanical and target-practice-style against non-human creatures, with no narrative of cruelty, crime, or moral consequence attached to it.
