Bloodless cartoon combat where racers throw shells, banana peels, and bomb items to spin out or briefly knock opponents off course.
Mario Kart World is a colorful kart-racing game built around an open world, where players drive Mario-series characters through reimagined courses, off-road stretches, boat and rail sections, and elimination-style Knockout Tours against up to 24 racers. The only conflict is lighthearted item combat—tossing shells, banana peels, and bomb-ombs to make opponents spin out—rendered in a bright cartoon style with no blood, injury, or mature themes. There is no sexual content, strong language, substances, or gambling. Online play pits you against strangers in races and Battle modes, though the game itself offers no open text chat with them; voice communication is available through the Switch 2's system-level GameChat feature, which is generally used with friends.
The game frames everything as playful competition: sabotage is comic and consequence-free, characters instantly recover, and the tone stays cheerful throughout with no darker subject matter.
