Murderous Pursuits is an online multiplayer stealth game for one to eight players set aboard a Victorian-era steamship. Each player is secretly assigned a quarry to hunt while also being hunted; the goal is to blend into crowds of AI bystanders, stalk your target, and land a kill using knives, pistols, or environmental traps without being spotted by witnesses, who can foil you or turn the hunt against you. Killing is the central mechanic and is rewarded with points, but the violence is quick and stylized with only brief blood effects, no gore, and no dismemberment. There is no sexual content, nudity, substances, or strong language. The game is played online with other real people, and voice and text chat are available, so parents may encounter unfiltered conversation from strangers.
