What it is
POSTAL 2 is a first-person open-ended game where you play the Postal Dude running mundane weekly errands—buying milk, cashing a check, returning a library book—across a small Arizona town. How you complete each errand is up to you: you can act as a peaceful citizen or use guns, melee weapons, fire, and improvised tools to attack civilians and police. It contains graphic bloody violence with decapitation and dismemberment, drug and alcohol use, crude sexual and toilet humor, partial nudity, frequent strong profanity, and the ability to set people on fire, taser them, and kill or mutilate animals, all wrapped in deliberately shocking dark comedy.
How it's framed
The game frames its extreme violence and offensiveness as over-the-top satire and dark comedy rather than serious drama; nearly all mayhem is optional, letting the player choose restraint or rampage, and the tone is absurdist and provocative throughout.
