What it is

This is a single-player, third-person action-adventure set in the Star Wars galaxy shortly after the Jedi were wiped out. You play Cal Kestis, a young Jedi survivor who explores interconnected planets, solves platforming and environmental puzzles, and fights with a lightsaber and Force powers. Combat is the main source of intensity: you duel and cut down stormtroopers, droids, bounty hunters, and Imperial Inquisitors, and battle wild alien beasts, but the fighting is stylized and largely bloodless with no gore or dismemberment. The tone touches on heavier themes — the destruction of the Jedi, the hero's trauma and grief, and life under an oppressive Empire — and one area features undead, reanimated warriors and a spookier atmosphere. There is no romance, sexual content, strong language, substances, or monetization, and the game is entirely offline with no chat or online interaction.

How it's framed

The game frames Cal as a hunted underdog resisting a tyrannical Empire and reclaiming his identity as a Jedi; violence is presented as heroic self-defense and combat mastery, and the darker material (loss, guilt, the fallen Order) is treated seriously as part of a redemptive coming-of-age arc rather than being sensationalized.
