What it is

Trine: Enchanted Edition is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer set in a storybook medieval-fantasy kingdom. You control three heroes bound together by a magical artifact — a knight who fights up close and shoves objects, a thief with a bow and grappling hook, and a wizard who conjures and levitates boxes and planks to solve physics-based puzzles. Play moves through castles, caves, and forest ruins, with light combat against skeletons, bats, and giant spiders, plus environmental hazards like lava, spikes, and swinging traps. Violence is stylized and bloodless (enemies collapse into bones), and there is no sexual content, strong language, or substances. It can be played solo or in local or online co-op for up to three players; the online co-op supports voice and text with others.

How it's framed

The game frames its content as a gentle fairytale adventure narrated in classic storybook fashion. Combat is presented as heroic obstacle-clearing rather than realistic bloodshed, and the emphasis throughout is on cooperative puzzle-solving, exploration, and the beauty of its fantasy world rather than on peril or mature themes.
