Balanced Play pools your child's game time across the platforms you connect into one daily budget and drives each platform's own parental-control limits to keep that budget. You must be 18+ and the parent or legal guardian of the children you manage.
You're responsible for your account and for having the authority to connect the platform accounts you link. You authorize Balanced Play to read play time and set parental-control limits on those accounts on your behalf. You can disconnect any platform at any time.
Balanced Play is $4.99 per month, plus any sales tax that applies where you live. The price you'll pay is shown to you before you subscribe, and you have to tick a box agreeing to it — we never charge a card without that.
It renews monthly until you cancel. We say so on the payment screen, not only here. You can cancel yourself online at any time, in your account settings — no email, no phone call, and we won't put a survey in your way. Cancelling stops all future renewals, and you keep access through the month you've already paid for.
Refunds — the short version: ask and you get your money back. If you'd rather not wait out the month, email support@getbalancedplay.com and we'll refund the unused part of it, pro-rated to the day. We're not going to argue with you over a few dollars. The full policy is on our refunds page.
If we ever change the price, we'll tell you in advance and you'll have the chance to cancel first. Our intention is to raise prices for new subscribers only and leave existing ones where they are — but where a change would affect you, you'll hear about it before it happens, not after.
Founding members. The first 100 families are free for life. That isn't a trial and it doesn't quietly convert: there's no card on file and nothing to cancel.
One thing we can't control: purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by them, under their terms, and only they can refund those. Ask through Apple's "Report a Problem" or your Google Play order history — and if you get stuck, email us and we'll help you get to the right place.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balanced Play LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms or to comply with the law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, emailed to you.
