What it is

Big Walk is a laid-back cooperative online game in which a group of two to twelve players wanders together through a large open bushland world, solving puzzles and figuring out how to navigate as a team. There is no combat, and the game contains no violence, sexual content, substances, or scary material; the focus is exploring, communicating, and hanging out with others. Communication is a core mechanic, using proximity voice chat (your friends get quieter as they walk away), plus miming, singing, codes, walkie-talkies, and left-behind messages. Because it is played online with a day-night cycle and cross-platform lobbies, players can end up talking with strangers over open voice and text chat, and there is no described content moderation system.

How it's framed

The game frames itself around calm, unhurried companionship and teamwork rather than conflict or achievement pressure. Its tone is gentle and social, presenting the walk and the act of staying connected with your group as the whole point; there is no reward structure built on harm, competition, or spending.
