First-person gunfire against waves of undead zombies with blood spray; killing is the core loop, but no dismemberment or emphasized gore.
Mild spooky atmosphere from zombie hordes and darkened maps, without sustained dread or scare mechanics.
Codename CURE is a free-to-play, first-person cooperative zombie shooter built on the Source engine, playable with up to five people (or with AI bots). Teams of soldiers move through maps fighting off waves of fast zombies, completing objectives such as planting a bomb and escaping, or holding out in a survival mode. The action is straightforward run-and-gun combat with realistic gunfire and blood; there is no story, sexual content, substances, or purchases. It is played online on public servers with open voice and text chat, and it supports Steam Workshop for community-made content.
The game frames its violence as standard action-shooter gameplay: zombies are faceless enemies to be gunned down while completing mission objectives. There is no narrative or moral weight attached to the killing, and no other mature themes are developed beyond the generic zombie-outbreak setting.
