Deadzoned is a single-player sci-fi turn-based action roguelike in which you move through zones fighting the beasts, bandits, and monsters that roam a planet gripped by blackouts, scavenging and using gear you find along the way to survive. Play is combat-focused: you take turns attacking enemies, including human foes and creatures, in a stylized presentation. There is no depicted blood or gore, no sexual content, nudity, strong language, substances, or gambling, and the game is played entirely offline with no chat or purchases.
The game frames combat as survival against hostile enemies in a struggling world, casting the player as a lone fighter working to save the planet. Harm is directed at monsters, bandits, and beasts as game obstacles, and violence is presented in an abstract, stylized way without emphasis on injury or suffering.
