DiRT Rally is a realistic rally and rallycross driving simulator in which you pilot licensed rally cars along narrow dirt, gravel, snow, and tarmac stages against the clock. The challenge is entirely in the driving: reading the co-driver's pace notes, managing car setup and tyre wear, and keeping a fragile car intact, since crashes cause visual and mechanical damage with no rewind to undo mistakes. There is no violence toward people, no sexual content, no substances, and no in-game purchases. Online play consists of competing against others' times and rallycross events; the game includes no voice or text chat.
The game frames its content purely as a demanding motorsport skill test — precision, concentration, and consequence, where a single error can wreck your car and end the run. Crashes are portrayed as costly racing incidents against the environment, never as harm to any person, and no wrongdoing or reward-for-harm is present.
