What it is

Dirty Bomb is a free-to-play, team-based first-person shooter set in a near-future London poisoned by a radioactive attack. Two mercenary factions — one working for a disaster authority, one for a criminal syndicate — battle over timed objectives such as escorting a vehicle, planting charges, and stealing data or drug samples. Combat is realistic gunplay and explosives against human opponents with blood, but no gore or dismemberment; downed teammates can be revived. The playable characters trade crude, profane banter. It is played online with strangers over open voice and text chat, supports item trading between players, and sells randomised cosmetic cases and unlockable characters for real money.

How it's framed

The game frames its violence as competitive team objective play between rival mercenary companies rather than a moral narrative; the disaster authority and the criminal syndicate are presented as two sides to pick between, with no story that endorses or condemns either.
