Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a driving and business simulation game in which you take on the role of a long-haul truck driver delivering cargo between cities across a scaled-down map of Europe. Gameplay centers on realistic driving: obeying traffic laws, managing fuel and tolls, avoiding damage to freight, and delivering loads on time to earn money and experience. Over time you can buy trucks, hire AI drivers, purchase garages, and grow a trucking company. The game contains no violence, sexual content, foul language, or substances, and there is no gambling or crime; the only spending is optional paid DLC map expansions and truck packs on the store, not in-game monetization. The base game is single-player with no built-in online play, though a popular third-party mod (TruckersMP) can add online multiplayer outside the official game.
How it's framed
The game frames its content around lawful, realistic professional driving and honest business growth: players are rewarded for careful driving, obeying speed limits and traffic rules, and delivering cargo safely, with fines imposed for infractions.
