Team-based first-person gunfire and melee against a large alien monster (and the monster's clawing attacks against human hunters), with some blood but no gore or dismemberment.
The monster player hunts and kills alien wildlife across the map to gain experience and evolve; this is a core, neutral progression mechanic.
Character banter between hunters includes occasional mild expletives.
Evolve Stage 2 is a free-to-play online multiplayer shooter built around 4v1 matches: four players cooperate as human 'hunters' armed with guns and jetpacks, while a fifth player controls a giant alien monster on an industrial alien planet. The core of the game is combat — the hunters track and shoot the monster, the monster claws and slams the hunters, and along the way the monster kills local alien wildlife to grow stronger. There is some blood in the fighting but no gore, dismemberment, sexual content, or strong language, and the loose story is about protecting colonies from monster attacks. The game was designed to be played online with other people; matches pair you with strangers.
The game frames its violence as a competitive predator-versus-prey contest between human defenders and an invading creature; killing wildlife is presented purely as a growth mechanic for the monster rather than as cruelty, and the thin narrative treats the hunters as protecting colonists from a threat.
