Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world driving game set in a fictionalised Japan, with a large map that ranges from a dense neon-lit Tokyo to mountain roads and countryside that change with the seasons. The player arrives as a tourist at a music-and-motorsport festival, earns wristbands by winning races, stunt events, car meets and touge hill battles, and collects and customises more than 550 real-world cars; a decoratable mountainside home serves as a base. There is no combat and no harm to people: cars can crash and take visible damage, but drivers are never shown hurt. The game is played online in a shared world with other players, including a 72-player elimination race mode, and supports voice and text chat with strangers; players also share their own car paint designs and customisations. The Steam listing reports no in-app purchases.
The game presents driving, speed and car collection as pure celebration: a festival fiction in which street racing, high-speed driving through city streets and crashing through scenery carry no legal or physical consequence for anyone. Progress is framed entirely around skill, exploration and collecting, with cars and Japanese car culture treated with admiration and no distressing subject matter in the story.
