Ironsight is a free-to-play online first-person shooter set in a near-future world where a national military and a private military corporation fight over dwindling resources. Play is team-based competitive multiplayer: players pick from a large arsenal of customizable modern weapons and deploy gadgets like tactical drones and deployable objects to kill opposing human soldiers across a variety of maps and modes. Combat is realistic-styled with gunfire, explosions, and blood, but without graphic gore or dismemberment. As an online shooter it includes voice and text chat with other players, and it monetizes through in-game purchases including cosmetics, gear, and randomized supply-case loot boxes. (The official servers have since been shut down.)
The game frames its fighting as straightforward competitive military combat between two armed factions over resources, with no moral commentary; kills and objectives are simply the scored win condition, and there is no story that judges the violence.
