Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a colorful 3D platformer in which the pink hero explores an abandoned, overgrown world to rescue kidnapped Waddle Dees from a pack of animal-like foes. Play is built around jumping, exploring, and battling cartoon enemies and bosses by inhaling them, spitting them out, or copying their abilities, plus a mode where Kirby swallows large objects like cars to solve puzzles. The action is entirely bloodless and whimsical; defeated enemies simply vanish. Beyond the light combat, the only mildly heavier notes are the melancholy ruined-civilization backdrop and a late-game story about an alien creature held and studied in a lab. There is no bad language, sexual content, substances, or online interaction, and a second person can join locally as a helper character.
