Princess Peach: Showtime! is a single-player action-adventure platformer in which Peach explores a magical theater and takes on ten themed stage-play roles — swordfighter, ninja, cowgirl, detective, mermaid, kung-fu fighter and more — to rescue performers from a sorceress named Grape and her Sour Bunch minions. Play is light and colorful, built around simple puzzles, brief action sequences, and gentle boss fights. The only content of note is mild cartoon combat: Peach defeats whimsical enemies who disappear harmlessly, with no blood, injury, or realistic violence. There is no language, sexual content, substances, spending, or online interaction of any kind.
The game frames its action as theatrical, heroic make-believe: Peach performs on a series of stages to save trapped performers and restore the theater, and enemies are cartoonish obstacles rather than realistic threats. Conflict is resolved through cheerful, consequence-free stage combat.
