Gentle cartoon combat in which the papercraft hero stuns and bops paper enemies called 'Scraps' by rolling into them or throwing objects; no blood, injury, or gore.
Tearaway is a whimsical papercraft platform adventure for the PlayStation Vita in which you guide a little envelope-headed messenger, Iota or Atoi, across a hand-crafted world made of folded and cut paper to deliver a message to the sun. Play mixes running, jumping, and light puzzle-solving with creative tools that let you draw and cut out paper decorations, snap in-game photos, and reach into the world using the console's touch panels. The only conflict is soft, cartoon combat against paper scraps that the hero bops or rolls into; there is no blood, no bad language, no substances, and nothing sexual. It is a single-player experience with no chat or online interaction.
The game frames everything as a gentle, storybook-style creative adventure about helping and making things; enemies are harmless paper scraps, and the tone stays warm, playful, and imaginative throughout, with the mild peril of the plot (a kidnapped creature, a monster-filled island) kept light and never graphic.
