Total Army Battle Simulator, or TABS, is a comedic real-time strategy title in which the player directs troops of jiggly, floppy figures through battlefields drawn from both history and fantasy. Fighters clash up close and at range, and once beaten they topple or crumple to the ground, with no lifelike bleeding or wounds shown. A built-in map-making tool lets players sculpt their own terrain and design original campaigns. The game carries no spoken or typed communication with unknown players, no in-app purchases, and no randomized reward crates.
How it's framed
It casts armed conflict as silly, good-humored fun, portraying fights through over-the-top slapstick motion instead of any grim rendering of dying or pain. Real-world historical wars come across with a mocking, spoof-like tone.
