Players shoot blocky voxel soldiers in team-based combat; hits produce a brief red blood-puff effect with no visible wounds, gore, or dismemberment.
Ace of Spades: Battle Builder is an online first-person shooter set on destructible, buildable voxel battlefields where up to 32 players split into teams and fight while digging, constructing and blowing apart the terrain around them. Players pick from seven classes and use guns, grenades and explosives against other players; the graphics are blocky and stylised, so shooting and dying are shown without blood, wounds or gore. The core loop is team-based multiplayer combat combined with real-time building and demolition of the map. It is played online alongside and against strangers, and historically supported in-match text chat.
The game frames its combat as light, construction-driven multiplayer competition rather than realistic warfare; violence is aimed at other players' avatars, is bloodless and abstract, and sits alongside the equal emphasis on building and destroying the environment. It carries no story or moral stakes beyond winning team-based matches.
