This is a deep fantasy role-playing game seen from an overhead view, in which players build a party of up to four heroes and adventure across the world of Rivellon to stop a spreading evil. Play centers on exploration, branching conversations, and elaborate turn-based tactical battles against human foes and fantastical creatures. Combat produces blood-splatter effects and blood-stained environments, and some areas show corpses and dismembered limbs. The world touches heavy subject matter such as slavery, death, and undeath, includes fantasy magic like necromancy and summoning, and contains a text-based prostitute encounter with suggestive but non-graphic writing. Mild profanity, alcohol, and a fictional drug also appear.
How it's framed
The game hands players wide moral latitude: you can be heroic, deceptive, thieving, or murderous, and quests can be resolved through many different choices with consequences.
