What it is

Block N Load was a team-based, free-to-play first-person shooter built on a destructible, block-based world in the vein of its predecessor Ace of Spades. Teams of five players faced off, constructing and demolishing defenses out of many block types while shooting one another in a cartoonish voxel art style. Combat is bloodless and stylized, with no gore, strong language, sexual content, or substances. Because it was an online multiplayer game, matches paired players with strangers and included in-game chat, so tone and comments from other players varied. The game's servers were shut down on 1 August 2025, so it is no longer playable online.

How it's framed

The game frames its action as lighthearted, competitive team combat: winning by out-building and out-shooting the opposing squad. Violence is presented as bloodless, comic voxel action with no narrative around consequences, cruelty, or real-world stakes.
