Stylized low-poly gunfire and vehicle combat against faceless humanoid soldiers, with exaggerated ragdoll physics and minimal blood; no gore or dismemberment.
An optional 'Haunted' one-life survival mode and a past Halloween event add a light zombie-esque, spooky theme.
Ravenfield is a single-player first-person shooter with a deliberately simple, low-poly look. You fight for the Blue team against the Red team across large battlefields, capturing flags and racking up kills using rifles and other firearms, tanks, and helicopters, all driven by AI soldiers and exaggerated ragdoll physics. The combat is military in style — shooting humanoid soldiers with realistic weapons — but the presentation is cartoonish and often comedic, with minimal blood, no gore, and no dismemberment. Modes range from standard team battles to an optional one-life 'Haunted' zombie-style survival mode. Steam Workshop modding lets the community add custom maps, weapons, and vehicles.
Combat is framed as light, team-based wargame action rather than grim or realistic war; killing enemy soldiers earns points and captures objectives, and deaths are played for physics-driven comedy rather than shock or suffering. There is no story-driven cruelty, moral weight, or mature subject matter attached to the fighting.
