Turn-based fantasy combat between hand-drawn cartoon armies (warriors, archers, orcs and similar foes) resolved on a hex grid with no blood or gore.
The story opens with the hero's village being raided and looted, framed briefly as motivation rather than dwelt upon.
Braveland is a single-player turn-based strategy game with a hand-drawn, storybook look. You follow a warrior's son whose village is raided, and you gradually build and lead an army across a board-game-style map, fighting battles on hexagonal grids against foes such as bandits, orcs, and other fantasy creatures. Combat is stylized and bloodless, the tone is light and cartoonish, and the campaign is short and fairly easy. There is no online play, chat, or in-app purchasing.
The game frames its conflict as a classic good-versus-evil fantasy adventure: the hero seeks justice after his home is attacked, and battles are presented as tactical puzzles between cartoon armies rather than as graphic or grim depictions of harm.
