What it is

Eador. Masters of the Broken World is a turn-based fantasy strategy game blending 4X empire-building, role-playing, and tactical combat. The player takes the role of an immortal demigod competing to unite a world that has shattered into countless drifting fragments of land, conquering each one shard by shard. Play involves leading heroes across a map, developing provinces, managing a tight economy, recruiting fantasy units, and resolving turn-based battles where positioning, unit abilities and spells matter. The on-screen conflict is stylized strategy combat between armies of soldiers and mythical creatures — units are defeated in battle without depicted gore, blood detail or dismemberment. There is no sexual content, nudity, profanity, or real-money purchasing, and the game offers online multiplayer without any in-game voice or text chat.

How it's framed

The game frames its world as a contest between god-like Masters for dominion over the shards, and it lets the player pursue conquest through very different postures — ruling provinces benevolently or governing as an outright tyrant. War, loss and the endless cycle of reconquering territory sit at the center of the story, but this weight is delivered through strategy systems and narration rather than graphic depiction.
