Crosshair X is not a game but a desktop utility that draws a customizable aiming reticle on top of whatever else is on the screen, aimed at players of shooting games whose titles lack a built-in crosshair or good crosshair options. Users pick from a large library of community-made designs or build their own, adjusting shape, size and color, and the overlay then sits over the running game. There is no story, no characters and no play scenarios of its own, so it carries none of the content axes that a game would: no violence, language, substances or mature themes originate in the software itself. Its only social element is that reticle designs are shared and downloaded within its community library; there is no chat, no multiplayer and no in-app purchasing inside the tool.
The software presents itself purely as an aiming and accuracy aid and contains no narrative or thematic content to frame; any violent or mature material a person sees appears in the separate game the overlay is placed over, not in Crosshair X.
