Destruction AllStars is a competitive vehicular combat game for the PlayStation 5 in which you pick one of sixteen colorful characters and their signature cars, then smash into rival vehicles to wreck them in a demolition-derby arena. When a car is destroyed the character leaps out on foot, dodging and rolling to grab a new vehicle or trigger a special ability, so the action stays fast and acrobatic. The combat is cartoonish and bloodless — the focus is crumpling metal and spectacular crashes, not injuring people. The game offered online multiplayer against other players and sold optional cosmetic items through an in-game currency, a feature critics flagged; its online servers have since been shut down, leaving only single-player modes.
The game frames its destruction as flashy sports entertainment — a televised 'stars and cars' spectacle where wrecking opponents is scored like a game show, with no real-world stakes, gore, or victims presented as suffering.
