FPS Chess is a free 1v1 game that fuses a chess match with a first-person shooter: you move pieces on a board as usual, but whenever one piece captures another, the two players drop into a short first-person duel to decide who wins the square. Each chess piece is a class with its own weapon and ability, so combat is fast, gimmicky, and cartoonish rather than realistic. The fighting is stylized character-on-character shooting and melee with no gore, blood emphasis, or dismemberment. There is no single-player campaign; it is built to be played against another person online, and the game supports voice and text chat with the people you match against. It has no in-app purchases.
