What it is

A giant-monster arena brawler and remaster of the 2002 fighting game, rebuilt in a modern engine. Players pick a kaiju from the Godzilla roster and battle other monsters hand-to-hand and with projectile attacks across destructible city stages, with human military forces firing on the monsters during fights. Modes include a single-player adventure, score-based city destruction, survival, and team battles, plus local co-op and online multiplayer with voice and text chat. The on-screen violence is fantasy combat between oversized creatures, with buildings that crumble and no blood, injury detail, or gore. There is no sexual content, profanity, substances, or purchasable content.

How it's framed

The game frames its fighting and city-wrecking as lighthearted, campy kaiju spectacle rather than serious conflict: the premise is an alien race seizing control of Earth's monsters, with the player's monster breaking free to drive the invaders off. Destruction is treated as a source of points and arcade fun, and the human toll of collapsing cities is not depicted or dwelt on.
