What it is

Lobotomy Corporation is a single-player monster-management simulation, inspired by the SCP Foundation, in which the player runs an energy company that harvests power from captive supernatural entities called Abnormalities. Play is a top-down management loop: assigning employees to perform 'work' on contained creatures, expanding the facility, and surviving when an Abnormality breaks loose and turns on the staff. The presentation is stylized rather than photorealistic, but employees and creatures are wounded and killed on screen with blood, some entities are grotesque body-horror designs, and breaches produce sudden lethal, frightening moments the player often cannot fight directly. The subject matter is consistently bleak — exploitation of sapient beings, sacrifice of workers, and recurring themes of despair and the wish to die run through the story and dialogue. There is no sexual content, no substances, no purchasable content, and no online or chat features.

How it's framed

The game presents its cruelty as the cost of the work rather than glamorizing it: harvesting energy requires morally questionable, often fatal treatment of both employees and the contained entities, and the narrative dwells on the guilt, suffering and psychological toll this carries. Distressing themes of death and the desire to die are framed as serious emotional weight within a dystopian story, not as spectacle.
