Mario Golf: Super Rush is a Nintendo Switch golf game starring familiar Mario characters who compete on themed courses using button or motion-control swings. Alongside standard stroke play, it adds fast-paced modes where players run across the course between shots and race to sink balls, plus each character's harmless gimmick 'Special Shot' meant to disrupt opponents (for example, briefly freezing the ground). A story-style 'Golf Adventure' mode lets you build a customizable Mii, train, and rise through a country club with light role-playing progression. Online play offers ranked matches against other people, but the game has no in-game voice or text chat. There is no violence, mature language, substances, or objectionable material of any kind.
The game frames everything as lighthearted, cartoon sports competition among cheerful franchise characters; conflict is limited to winning golf matches, and the disruptive 'Special Shots' are playful gimmicks rather than aggression against people.
