What it is

Moon Sweepers is a lighthearted cooperative cleaning simulation set on the Moon. Players start with a toothbrush and sweep up lunar dust, sell what they collect, and reinvest the earnings in better tools and cleaning vehicles, working alone or in online sessions of up to 16 players. The game's content is the chore itself played for comedy: there is no combat, no story of loss or danger, and nothing to buy with real money. Online play includes voice and text chat, which on public sessions can connect children with strangers; the game itself does not appear to include any moderation beyond what Steam provides.

How it's framed

The game treats an absurd menial job as the whole point, framing teamwork and gradual upgrades as the path from a toothbrush to a thriving operation. Its humour comes from the ridiculousness of the task rather than from crude or dark material, and cooperation with other players is presented as the way to prosper.
