Scam Line is an online party game for four to eight players built around social deception. Each round sets the group a challenge, and the way to win is to outmaneuver the other players — by bluffing, misleading, striking deals, or breaking them. The 'scamming' and 'cheating' in the title are game mechanics within the rules of play rather than depicted real-world crime; there is no combat, and no violent, sexual, or substance content in the game itself. The core experience is the back-and-forth between players, which happens over the game's built-in voice and text chat with whoever is in the lobby.
The game frames lying, manipulation and betrayal as the intended tools of play — players compete to deceive one another to win rounds. This is presented as a lighthearted party contest of wits rather than a narrative about wrongdoing, and the deception stays abstract to the game's own rules rather than depicting crime against people.
