Split Fiction is a two-player-only cooperative action-adventure in which you and a partner play two authors trapped inside the sci-fi and fantasy stories they wrote. Split-screen play mixes platforming, puzzle-solving, and stylized combat against robots, monsters, and boss creatures, with each level introducing a fresh one-off mechanic. Combat is cartoon-to-realistic in style without blood or gore. The narrative carries emotionally heavy material — the death of a young sibling and the guilt that follows, caring for a dying parent, and a character wrestling with her own buried emotions. There is occasional mild language, a lightly spooky Halloween-themed side story, and no sexual content, drugs, gambling, or in-app purchases. Online play pairs you with one invited co-op partner via in-game voice/text rather than open chat with strangers.
