What it is

Two campaigns arrive together here: the solo narratives of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End alongside Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, both movie-styled adventures that cast the player as fortune seekers roaming from country to country. Moment-to-moment play blends nimble scaling of ledges and jumping challenges, brain-teaser sequences, driving segments, and over-the-shoulder fighting. During those clashes, guns, blasting charges, hand-to-hand blows, and quiet takedowns are turned on human foes drawn from paid soldiers and military troops; wounds show a little blood without graphic detail. Woven through the presentation are occasional swearing, cast members who consume alcohol and cigarettes, plus flirting and mild romantic beats, while the plot circles ideas of avarice, disloyalty, and grief. Central to the setup, the leads force their way in, slip past sentries, and lift artifacts of historical value. Everything runs offline for one player, carrying no text chat with others, no paid add-ons, and no in-game spending.

How it's framed

Stealing and shooting are presented as the stuff of heroic quests, rooted in a buccaneering hunt for lost riches, complete with clever back-and-forth dialogue and devoted allies. At the same time, the storytelling probes what greed and fixation take from a person, portraying how a hunger for riches rots and ruins the antagonists who give chase to it.
