Stylized arcade combat between player-built tanks: machines fire on and blow up other machines in explosions, with no human characters harmed, no blood and no gore.
Gear Up is a free-to-play online arcade game about building your own combat vehicle from a huge catalog of interchangeable parts — hulls, weapons, and ways of getting around such as caterpillar tracks, wheels or walking spider legs — and then taking it into fast multiplayer matches against other players. The action is entirely machine-versus-machine: tanks shoot each other and explode in a light, cartoonish style, with no human characters shown being hurt, no blood and no gore. There is no sexual content, profanity, substance use or frightening material. Matches are played online against other people, but the build supplied here has no in-game voice or text chat and no purchases, so players cannot communicate with strangers.
The game frames its combat as playful mechanical tinkering and competition — the appeal is engineering an outlandish war machine and testing it in the arena, rather than any depiction of real-world warfare or human casualties. Destruction is bloodless and comic, treated as arcade spectacle.
