Beyond the purchase price, the game sells a large catalogue of paid add-on packs of extra tractors, brands, maps and equipment for real money. There are no loot boxes, randomized rewards, or in-game currency sold.
Farming Simulator 22 is a detailed agricultural simulation in which you build and run a farm across American, European, and Asian-style maps. You drive licensed real-world tractors and machinery to plow, plant, fertilize, harvest, and sell a wide range of crops; manage forestry; and raise livestock such as cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and horses for products and profit. Gameplay is relaxed and economic rather than combative — there is no fighting, weapons, blood, sexual content, foul language, or substances. Animals are tended and sold as part of the farm economy, with no hunting, killing, or graphic content shown. An optional multiplayer mode lets you farm cooperatively with others online, including public servers, with in-game text chat, and the game supports an extensive third-party modding community that adds new machines, maps, and features.
The game frames its subject as a wholesome, methodical business of running a farm: success is measured in efficient work, expanding equipment, and growing profit. Livestock are treated as economic assets rather than shown coming to harm, and there is no narrative conflict, violence, or mature theme layered over the farming loop.
